Favorite Things for April

Favorite Things for April

I’m linking up with Erika and Andrea for a Favorite Things Party today!

Favorite Things PArty

These days, as a stay at home mom, I’m all about items under $10 and finding bargains. This month I have 3 favorite things.

dct2

1. Blistex DCT I’m not much of a lipstick wearer…never have been, but I LOVE chapstick and lip balm. DCT is my very favorite lip product! It’s smooth and feels more like a gloss, but doesn’t get sticky and leave a mess on my little guy’s cheek when I smother him in kisses until he’s laughing hysterically. I usually find it at CVS or Walgreens, but not Target or Walmart…weird, huh? They’re usually about $2-3 for one.

2. Old Navy’s Maternity Tanks First of all, no I’m not pregnant again…just in case you were going to ask. I’m still wearing the same tanks from my pregnancy 6 months ago. I’m always looking for tanks long enough to layer and am never able to find anything. These are the only ones I can find that fit this 5’7″ post-baby nursing mama. Plus, they don’t have the side ruching, so they don’t look maternity at all…just extra long. They’re marked at $12.94, but every time I’m at Old Navy, they’re $10.

3. Munchkin Mesh Food Feeder LOVE THESE THINGS! Graydon is beginning baby-led solids (more posts on that later), but I love that I can put almost anything in the mesh feeder bags for him to try without any worry or thought of a choking/gagging hazard. So far, he’s had grapes, cantaloupe, avocado, and banana in the mesh feeder just to name a few. He basically makes his own all natural fruit or veggie puree by gnawing on it and it’s so easy on the go. You can find these at BabiesRUS, Target, and most places where baby items are sold.

Yesterday, while at the food truck park in the 90 degree heat, I even put  frozen chunks of breast milk in the feeder to keep him hydrated. The kid won’t take a bottle, but he loves a breast milk popsicle.

Come back Wednesday for another link up with Andrea for Recipe Club (LOVE that she hosts all these fun link ups). I’m making my famous beer roast…my husband’s favorite meal!

Have a great week everyone!
