#1. Circle E Candles
I have been loving my new scents since our trip to Fredericksburg last week. I’m so glad we live so near to the Circle E Candle factory. You can smell the candles when you step out of your car in the parking lot. So good! My favorite scent that I’ve been burning this week is Orange Patchouli…and it’s fun to say! Try it. Patchouli. Did you say it out loud? Anyway, it smells cozy and warm like something you’d smell in a spa while relaxing during a massage, but also with a hint of orange. Perfect for a fall transitional scent.
#2. Prayer Journal
I’m really enjoying my Val Marie Paper Prayer Journal. I keep a prayer list on my phone, but I don’t always go back and look at it once I write it down, and then I noticed I have random prayer requests written in so many different notes sections. I needed some organization, and I found these. I even bought one for my husband (there’s a men’s version too!) and my best friend. The journal is divided into topics, and I like that I have an intentional place to write prayers down and it’s something tangible that I can refer back to. I keep the prayer journal on my end table in the living room next to my daily devotional, so I can see it each morning when I sit down with my coffee.
#3. Homemade Iced Passion Tea Lemonade
Sometimes I need a fun little drink to get me through the afternoons. Our nearest Starbucks doesn’t have a drive-thru and I don’t always want to load the boy up, drive 10 minutes, get him out of the carseat and hold him in line, and then hop back into the car for another 10 minute drive home. Too much hassle for a short drive and a beverage. Lazy…I know… and I only have one carseat/kiddo to mess with. So I decided to make them myself, and it’s pretty good! I just brew the Tazo passion tea in the morning and let it cool in a coffee mug in the fridge. I think there’s cold brew packets (I should look into those), but I was using what I had. Pour the tea and a truvia into a cocktail shaker and shake it like you mean it. Pour over ice and add Simply Lemonade. I like it 2 parts tea, 1 part lemonade. In my Starbucks cup it tastes EXACTLY like I just ran through the drive-thru. Enjoy!
#4. Vintage Honey Shop Teething Necklace
This was one of my Mother’s Day gifts, and it’s definitely a favorite. Graydon loves it too! It’s all natural wood, organic fabric, and totally safe for baby to chomp on. As soon as I put it on, Graydon knew exactly what to do. This has kept him occupied and quiet many Sundays in church. It also keeps him from pinching me or reaching for my earrings when we nurse. I think I want to get one without the ring too because they’re just so darn cute! Those girls at the Vintage Honey Shop had a genius idea when they came up with these.
See? Totally cute and stylish even in just a t-shirt without screaming I’m wearing a baby teething necklace that my child slobbers all over. Again, genius idea!
#5. Big Brother
I just can’t get enough! Somehow, three nights a week is so not enough. I find myself looking forward to it all day and then counting the days until it airs again. That Thursday to Sunday night wait seems like forever between episodes. Right?! I’m so glad Donny is still in the house, and I hope he goes far. But I’m calling now…Derrick will win. He’s by far the smartest player and just seems like an all around good guy so I think the jury would vote for him at the end. I’m already looking forward to Sunday and his HOH reign!
And my final favorite is this little cutie after Thursday night’s bath time. Can’t you just hear his giggles through the picture? Love my sweet boy and I’m looking forward to a fun weekend with him. My brother, sister-in-law, and nephews are in town, and we’re going to celebrate my nephew’s 5th birthday. He starts kindergarten in a week at the same school where my SIL teaches. I’m so excited for him! I know he’s going to do awesome and love school so much.
Happy Friday! I’m going to check out some of the other favorites in the linkup and see what y’all are up to.
